Hi,

About to implement the algorithm. Quick question about the age criteria, "Must be 731 days old or older" , age in reference to what, at the code entry date ?

Submitted by Lyam Vazquez on

Yes, for cases the qualifying ICD codes must be at age 731 or older.  Thanks!

Thank you for your response, what about for controls, must be 731 days old or older. since they do not have any of those icd codes , their age will be in reference to what ? first visit ? present ?

Hi

When implementing this algorithm against an adult population, does the contraint on well child visits in the controls apply?

Controls Definition

  • Must be 731 days old or older
  • No diagnosis codes for intellectual dissabilities (table 1)
  • No diagnosis codes shown in table 4
  • Must have two or more in person visits after 731 days old
    • Visits must be for well child (pediatrics)

Thanks,

Barbara

Hi,

No, that would be only for pediatric sites. Thanks!

Hello,

about the criteria visits must be for well child for controls , do you have a well child definition ? or do you just add another constraint "age at event <18" ?

Submitted by Lyam Vazquez on

We use a ICD9 code for well child visits: V20.2 Routine infant or child health check and ICD10 Z00. 129
